An Ultra Gentle Shampoo...

The heart of a shampoo formula, whether liquid or solid, are the surfactants. They are the ones who wash your hair. Moreover, you will systematically find them in the first ingredients of the INCI list.

This is why, at LOUBAIO, we use the best: glutamates and glucosides (Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate and Lauryl Glucoside).

They are very soft and pollute little during their manufacture. These are the "almost" perfect surfactants, far from the sulphates still in the majority on the market. Almost because if they leave hair silky, they foam less than their nasty sulfated counterparts or the famous SCI (not accepted organically due to their polluting manufacturing).

...which soothes the scalp...

The presence of calendula macerate and kaolin (white clay) helps soothe sensitive scalps (especially dry) and fight against itching.

Note that for hair with a tendency to be oily, white clay is recognized for its cleansing properties: excess sebum is absorbed while preserving the hydration of the lengths and the shine of the hair.

...and untangle!

Our formula contains an emulsifying wax from sugar beet (it hides under the sweet names of Behenyl alcohol and Arachidyl/behenyl betainate Esylate). Sourced in France, it has moisturizing benefits but above all, it has strong detangling power. This makes styling easier!

It's quite simple, an FSC-certified cardboard case (paper from sustainably managed forests). And that's all !

Start by dampening your shampoo with lukewarm water then apply it directly to your hair with circular movements.

Once the product is well distributed throughout your hair, massage gently. Rinse with clean water. If you have very thick or oily hair, we advise you to shampoo a second time. A more abundant foam appears, that's it, your hair is clean.

For beginners in solid cosmetics, a little patience. It takes a short learning period before becoming an expert. But believe us, it’s worth it!

The golden rule for keeping your solid shampoo longer? Let it dry!

We therefore advise you to keep it in a dry place, away from heat (by magnetizing it to one of the walls of your shower for example.

Q - Is this shampoo organic?

A - Yes absolutely. Like our entire range, this shampoo is organic COSMOS ORGANIC certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the COSMOS standard.

Q - Is this shampoo Vegan?

A - Yes, we do not use any ingredients of animal origin in this shampoo. In full transparency, not being Vegan, this is not a fierce desire for us. Perhaps one day we will offer a Honey product (from Provence of course!).

Q - How many shampoos can I do?

A - This will obviously depend on the length and nature of your hair but we estimate that on average you will be able to do between 40 and 50 shampoos.

Q - You indicate “No SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate)” in the product sheet, what is the problem with this ingredient?

A - SCI is the surfactant most used in commercial solid shampoos. Like many coconut derivatives, it is very popular in solid cosmetics because it foams a lot and even has a conditioning effect on the hair while being non-irritating. In short, everything to please on paper! But when we dig a little deeper we learn that the SCI manufacturing process is extremely polluting, and that this ingredient represents a danger for aquatic environments... This is why solid shampoos containing SCI are not certified organic!

Q - Does this shampoo lather as much as a non-organic shampoo?

A - The answer is no. Abundant foam is synonymous with an aggressive and/or polluting surfactant (washing base, which washes your hair). Sulfates and other SCIs indeed foam very well, but the former are aggressive for the hair and scalp and the latter come from a very polluting manufacturing process. We have chosen to use extremely gentle surfactants, which wash your hair perfectly well and are environmentally friendly. But yes, they foam a little less.
