It's in 2020 that everything starts. Since then, the ambition has remained unchanged: to offer you the best of what Nature can offer, without consuming it.
We are harassed by Instagram ads for “Organic”, “Nature”, “Eco-responsible”, “Who will save the dolphins” cosmetics.
We dig a little deeper and we realize that it’s not always super super transparent. Not even super super honest.
At the same time, the arrival of our children leads us to look at the composition of bathroom products. Slap.
We started to do some research and we realized 2 things:
- Provence (where we live) is full of know-how and raw materials around cosmetics.
- It is possible to “do things differently” and just as effective in terms of product composition.
We're getting started, the statutes are submitted in October!
We contacted a partner to develop our first three references, liquid shampoos. Writing specifications, first tests, choice of packaging...
At the same time we are looking for our first producers. The main objective is to work directly with them to obtain raw materials of unrivaled quality.
We do almost everything ourselves and there is a lot to learn.
But the first products are released and the site is put online. The hardest part begins, marketing!
The competition is tough. Many brands, with big resources, have invaded the internet like stores. The road is still long!
The first trade shows and a remark that comes up systematically: “Your visual identity does not correspond to who you are, to the messages you want to convey”.
With the valuable help of a Marseille agency, we are rethinking the visual identity. LOUBAIO version 2 is launched.
But that's not all, we are launching the development of our solid range. Why didn't we do this before? Because our partners did not (yet) know how to work with gentle, non-polluting surfactants. They are ready now, so we are launching into the world of solids.
At the same time, commercial development continues. The LOUBAIO arguments against the competition are starting to make the difference!
The development of LOUBAIO continues with a major evolution for our small brand: for the start of the school year, our entire range is 100% natural.
To celebrate, a shower of new products: a Body & Hair dry oil is arriving, a new version of our liquid shampoo is launched and refills are available.

And finally, the list of producers we work with is growing. With the arrival of pomegranate seed oil we now work with 4 direct producers. And that is perhaps what we are most proud of.
Stores are converting to LOUBAIO, more and more of you are trusting us, new products are arriving...
